May Showers bring... wet puppies...

April showers bring May flowers. But May showers bring nothing but wet, smelly puppies.

My little shih tzu started her day off by getting nice and soaked and muddy in a rainstorm. As did I. Both of us got super frizzy hair from it all. She looked cute. I did not.

Now she and I are wet again from giving her a bath. She loved it. And shook all over me. I think I am wetter than she is now.

Now let's just keep our fingers crossed that tomorrow is sunny so you don't get dirty all over again. :)

So after doing the A-Z blog posts all April, it's nice to be able to talk about whatever I feel like. Except my thoughts are a little random, so let's just bullet point them and call it good.

• Today I got to run a few errands while my parents babysat little Jake. I got back to their house after a couple hours and found him lying naked on a blanket in front of the beautiful, warm fireplace. He was kicking happily after having peed all over my dad's blanket. You go, baby. Way to stick it to the man. I love that little guy.
• A quote from one of my real life heroes has been running through my head for the last couple days. D. Michael Stewart was a great man. He passed away a couple years ago, but he will always be an inspiration to me. Anyway, his quote went something like this: Sacrifice isn't sacrifice if you give up a shirt when you have ten. Sacrifice happens when you give away the only shirt you own. That is how you grow to be more like the Saviour. I can think of a few "shirts" I've had to give up recently. I miss you, President Stewart.
• I want my pants to fit better.
• I've had a few different people tell me today how much they enjoyed my book. Thanks for the support, guys!

Anyway, it's time to make dinner! Have a dry evening, all! :)
